Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Will Feature a “Revamped” and “Better” Version of Queen’s Blood
The final chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has not yet been officially announced, but the development team has already shared some intriguing insights. At a recent panel during the Otakon convention in Washington, D.C., Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, mentioned that the popular collectible card game Queen's Blood will make a comeback in the next installment.
Hamaguchi expressed enthusiasm about preparing an upgraded version of Queen's Blood that aims to improve upon its predecessor. This minigame, which debuted in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, serves as an engaging side activity where players can gather various cards with unique abilities and rarities to create enhanced decks. Additionally, an extensive optional questline is linked to Queen's Blood, adding to its appeal. While it remains unclear what specific improvements Hamaguchi has in mind for the sequel's iteration of the minigame, its existing popularity sets high expectations among fans.
Development for the concluding part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series has been in progress since at least 2022. Earlier this year, producer Yoshinori Kitase suggested that the team is targeting a release date in 2027, generating anticipation for the future of this cherished franchise.
