New Genshin Impact Update Brings Unexpected Buffs

Austin Dean 31 Jan 2022

Genshin Impact got its hit of popularity upon its release in September of 2020, and since then, the players missed big skins reveals what everyone had been waiting for. The first wave of change happened during the 1.6 update when miHoYo presented summer outfits for Jean and Barbara.

The discussions were going around in the community lately. The main topics are new skins in 2.4 for Keqing and Ningguang, and some theories about Mondstadt characters Diluc and Fischl getting more attention.

Currently, the second part of the 2.4 update has brought players beautiful costumes for characters Jean, Mona, Amber, and Rosaria. The thread on the game’s Reddit noted that these skins actually got a big damage buff, and the developers didn’t notice that. The community asked to delete the post before it could be seen by miHoYo.

In Genshin Impact, the damage is the main force that gets you through most adventures, and 48% buff is definitely a great help in quests. Players always find new ways of exploiting such bugs, but unluckily for all users, the current buff doesn’t work in the Spiral Abyss, which has been a pain for many players who tried to finish their 36-star challenge. Some rumors were going around about Mondstadt characters receiving a portion of attention next with the release of the formal attire of Keqing and Ningguang.

Genshin Impact got a lot planned for 2022: the developers announced two new characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin. The last update also started three banner re-runs. Moreover, miHoYo officially confirmed on social media that in the 2.5 update players can be waiting for a new character Yae Miko.

The game is now free to play on PlayStation platforms and PC. Take your chance to encounter a new buff or play by rules. Do you think miHoYo will fix the bug soon? What adventures are you excited about? Share your opinion in the comments below.
