HuniePop

HuniePop is a puzzle game where the player has to win the affection of seven girls in order to become the most popular guy in the school. The game takes place in the fictional world of Huniepop. HuniePop is a dating simulation game similar to the popular Japanese dating simulation game, The World Ends With You. It is a puzzle game where you have to win to acquire a date. You play as a male protagonist that has to date a bunch of girls in a mansion. You use a deck of cards to move the girls from their rooms to the living room, where you can talk to them. The girls don't want to leave their rooms, so you have to bribe them to come out using a variety of items. You can also seduce them by using a variety of items. If you successfully seduce a girl, you will be able to date her.

Gameplay

Gameplay of HuniePop consists of three parts. The first part includes simple puzzle pieces that the player needs to fit together in order to get to the next level. The second part is a turn-based battle that takes place on a chessboard. There are two rows on the chessboard and battle is about moving and capturing tiles. The last part is a puzzle sequence that the player needs to figure out. Gameplay includes match-3 puzzles and a visual novel style of gameplay. The player makes selections from a list of dialog options to interact with the girls. They can also choose to “ask her out” when they have enough points, and the player wins when they find the correct girl and ask her out.

Graphics

Graphics of HuniePop consist of hand-drawn anime-style images. The player can choose the name of the girl he wants to pursue and the character will be shown as a 2-dimensional image. The graphics are good. They are colorful and the details are done nicely. The game doesn't seem like it is outdated, but it also doesn't seem like it is the newest game.

Information about replayability

The game is replayable in that you can continue to play different girls. It is not replayable in that you can't change the story.
